Ivermectin supply, and a new threat from the medical specialty boards against doctors who say mean things about the Covid vaccines

What I learned today:

Edenbridge is the manufacturer of most of the ivermectin consumed in the US.  Some of their product is made in the US and some made in Mexico (according to a colleague, but I have not verified this).  Their sales manager informed me that they continue to produce it and ship it, but that it is moving out of the supply chain quickly.  (I wonder if perhaps some is being bought up and not sent to retailers?)

She suggested I contact two smaller wholesalers, andanet and bonitapharma.

But then I was informed of a compounding pharmacy in Portland, Maine that would supply the compounded drug.  The compounders purchase the medication from entirely different compounding wholesalers, and they are not aware of supply chain issues.  I learned of two other pharmacies that were out of state that are shipping the product.  All charge about the same amount, approximately $60 for a five day course, which is cheaper than what the pharmacies were charging for it in pill form.  However, insurance generally does not pay for the compounded drugs... and often would not pay for it from regular pharmacies either.

Bottom line, I cannot tell you today whether the pharmacy supply was cut off, though it appears as if it was. The timing  is just too coincidental, occurring in concert with the tidal wave of negative publicity about the drug.

And (probably not) coincidentally Australia just implemented restrictions on prescribing it. I am relieved it can still be obtained.  Suggest you find a doctor in your state to prescribe it before we totally lose access.

And send comments here to share information about its availability in your area, please.

Here is what the $1 million/year-earning president of the internal medicine board said in a widely distributed threat to physicians:

The Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB), which supports its member state medical licensing boards, has recently issued a statement saying that providing misinformation about the COVID-19 vaccine contradicts physicians' ethical and professional responsibilities, and therefore may subject a physician to disciplinary actions, including suspension or revocation of their medical license. We at the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM), the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), and the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) support FSMB's position. We also want all physicians certified by our boards to know that such unethical or unprofessional conduct may prompt their respective board to take action that could put their certification at risk.

Expertise matters, and board certified physicians have demonstrated that they have stayed current in their field. Spreading misinformation or falsehoods to the public during a time of a public health emergency goes against everything our boards and our community of board certified physicians stand for. The evidence that we have safe, effective and widely available vaccines against COVID-19 is overwhelming. We are particularly concerned about physicians who use their authority to denigrate vaccination at a time when vaccines continue to demonstrate excellent effectiveness against severe illness, hospitalization and death...

So I wrote back to them and said I would be delighted to debate the facts and the current information on the Covid vaccine with them.  I asked how much they were paid to issue this threat.

So now it is unethical for me to read the medical literature and explain it to my patients?  When will doctors realize that if their job is simply to blindly repeat what they are told, a computer can do it better and they will soon be out of a job?

Really such threats are very disgusting, and it behooves all of us to take every opportunity we can to say NO MORE.  Since I am well armed to debate the science on Covid vaccines, and I can afford to risk my license, it seemed I should challenge these bloated criminals who feast off the carcass of their dying profession.

You are bold and I love it. I am a physician and I am finally starting to share concerns publicly, but it is scary and I am getting intense pushback, especially from other physicians. Can we get you on the news to present your side of the debate?

Honestly, the whole idea of "board certification" seems like a racket to me.

Thank you, Dr. Nass, for all you are doing.

With the blurred diagnostics currently for Covid-19 when treating with ivermectin for Covid-19 cases how certain can cases be for in fact really Covid-19 rather then the numerous conditions with similar symptoms, are the results in the pudding if after on ivermectin for symptoms that then begin to resolve that correlates to Covid-19, and not guessing, or?

Meryl, could you suggest a former post of yours or make a post about all the reasons why the Covid vaccines are unsafe? We know they are also ineffective after a few months, but a post solely on the safety issues, both the adverse events, the potential long term effects on immunity, and the potential for cumulative damage would be welcome. Thank you, Meryl.

In Oregon last week or two: Oregon Board of Pharmacy recommends against filling IVM. So many local pharmacies suddenly following suite. Some not filling for "prevention," only for acute cases. Most running out of the pills. One local Doc sends to Washington state to a compounding pharmacy, which is now a couple of weeks out, "waiting for more drug to arrive." Not sure their supply was throttled, or just that they're on a short list of Pharms willing to fill, so they got overrun.

Good for you!

It’s amazing how the FSMB turns words upside-down. According to them, telling the truth about the covid vaccines is unethical, unprofessional, and spreading misinformation.

Sometimes you can't be sure someone has Covid, but usually the fatigue is huge, and lost smell and taste are good markers. Ivermectin does work for some other viruses though, too.

Many patients have already tested positive when they call, and have symptoms consistent with it.

At least in the lab, ivermectin is considered a broad-spectrum antiviral agent. Among the many clinically important viruses it suppresses in cell-culture (in vitro) studies are adenoviruses (one of the many "common cold" viruses) and influenza viruses. So, ivermectin could well be effective against a whole slew of human cold-and-flu viruses.

If you are thinking of (or already) using a veterinary formulation of ivermectin, please read the precautions I've outlined in this web article:

http://animavet.com.au/ivermectin-horse-paste.html

It is mostly about the horse paste formulation (and was written in response to the FDA's rather insulting tweet that "y'all" are not horses) but it also covers the sheep drench and similar liquid formulations of ivermectin intended for use in animals.

Thanks Dr King for extraordinary interesting info on Aussies taking Ivermectin veterinary formulationa for Covid19 treatment & prevention. Somewhat surprising with Australia low case numbers example average less than 10 cases per day reportedly for many recent months until uptick out of the blue began in August? Oh my too, the whole thing is such an unbelievable bewildering terrible mess with no end in sight too!
