Turkey's premier hospital mortality for Covid under 1%; NYC's hospital mortality 20%/ BBC

Turkey started testing early, with rapid results.  They did case-finding and quarantines, and they used hydroxychloroquine as soon as someone got sick. Mortality in a premier hospital in Turkey for Covid-19 is under 1%.  Mortality in New York hospitals for Covid-19 cases has been reported here and here as 20%.

The BBC goes into depth on how Turkey handled the pandemic.  Definitely worth a read.

Thanks Meryl for the helpful articles you write, including on how to make an excellent mask, and about the usefulness of hydroxychloroquine to treat covid virus, despite it being given a bad press. Very interesting that Turkey has used it so successfully. I read an article about it some time ago, being used in France, until suddenly all the stocks disappeared - some sort of corruption where some saw a way of making a financial bonanza that worked against the interests of French hospitals and the health of people in France.
