Workers say "get a taste of what it will be like when we are gone." NYC sanitation workers staying home and city stinks. Biden blinks.

Biden Offers ‘Flexibility’ as Workers Nationwide Threaten to Quit Rather Than Comply With Vaccine Mandates

The Biden administration is now suggesting federal employers and government contractors offer “flexibility” when enforcing COVID vaccine mandates against unvaccinated employees. This announcement is an about-face from the far-reaching rules President Biden laid out in a September speech where he lashed out at those who are hesitant to get the vaccine.

“Deadlines are not cliffs,” Jeff Zients, White House coronavirus response coordinator, told reporters at a briefing Wednesday. “The federal worker deadline is the 22nd of November, and the federal contractor deadline is not until December 8th,” he said.

Zients added:

“But even once we hit those deadlines, we expect federal agencies and contractors will follow their standard HR processes and that, for any of the probably relatively small percent of employees that are not in compliance, they’ll go through education, counseling, accommodations and then enforcement.”

This announcement followed a meeting earlier this week between business groups and the White House Office of Management and Budget during which business leaders asked the Biden administration to postpone its vaccine mandate until after the holiday season...

Hopefully by January Biden and his Trillion dollar Build Back Better scheme --after his Destroy it Worse scheme--will be twisting in the wind.

Looks like the Supreme Court are doing what their Over Lords instruct them to do?

Supreme Court denies request to block Maine’s Vaccine mandate…

By allowing the Nuremberg Code to be violated the SCOTUS has become a party to genocide.

Aaah. This news makes me so happy! :-)

Here in Queensland (Australia), our state government has been pushing to get at least 80% of eligible people vaccinated against COVID. They're nearly there, except for us exasperating hold-outs :-). They're also working on vaccine passports. In effect, they're saying to businesses "you'd best prepare to lose 20% of your customer base, because we're going to require you to enforce our proof-of-vaccination policy for entry to your business. And we'll fine you heavily if you don't comply."

But another interesting thing has been happening over the past several months: the state government has stopped locking us down at the merest whiff of a new case of COVID in the community. Several times I've been expecting another lockdown, only to be pleasantly stunned that none was announced. I suspect that businesses have quietly been exerting their considerable influence, encouraging the politicians to stop it with the lockdowns because they're crippling businesses large and small.

Oh, and BTW, our state Chief Health Officer (Dr Jeanette Young) has just become our new governor. It's not the same as a governor in the US (that role belongs to the Premier). Governor is more of a glory title:

"Unlike in America, where governors run their states, Australian governors hold a largely ceremonial position. Governors, and the Governor-General, are referred to as ‘viceregal’ positions. The word translates from Latin and French literally as ‘in place of the king’. Because they represent the Crown, governors formally appoint the state premier, and preside over the opening of each state parliament. State governors also issue the writs for state elections and, importantly, for the election of Senators from their state. They can refuse to call an election if there is cause to believe one isn’t necessary. ... Governors also sign legislation into law, giving ‘Royal Assent’, before it takes effect. State governors are also usually patrons of various state organisations and institutions."

And so the rot spreads.
