More UN financial BS

The UN Secretary General issued a report on restructuring the financial architecture of the world in May 2023. Clearly they did not want people to understand it. In this case, the UN suggests that even though countries cannot pay back their loans, they should be given larger loans with longer terms to pay them back.

One way to make the ideas unintelligible is to create extraordinarily long sentences, so by the time you get to the end yo have forgotten the beginning and the meaning is lost. Here is one example that spit out 81 words before a period appeared:

Conclusion

The reforms outlined in the present policy brief

be met if the international financial architecture

To avert such outcomes, we must pursue ambi-

tious reforms and advance on all the proposals

in the present brief. They should be regarded as

a paradigmatic shift in the structuring of interna-

tional economic and financial relationships that,

as a package, support the convergence of coun-

tries towards sustainable development. We need

to enable more sustainable and inclusive develop-

ment pathways for all countries, aligned with the

Sustainable Development Goals and anchored

in “beyond GDP” metrics. This will require new

forms of international cooperation, underpinned

by an architecture fit for purpose in the twen-

ty-first century, across the financial and monetary

system, tax, trade, environmental stability and cli-

mate action, and other development issues. Our

current multilateral system does not fit this bill,

Several US federal government agencies have been hit in a global cyberattack by Russian cybercriminals that exploits a vulnerability in widely used software, according to a top US cybersecurity agency.

Eric Goldstein, the executive assistant director for cybersecurity at the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), said in a statement that several federal agencies had been compromised after the discovery of a vulnerability in the file transfer software MOVEit.

CISA did not identify the affected agencies or specify how they were affected. It did not respond promptly to requests for additional comment.

Progress Software Corp’s (PRGS.O) MOVEit is typically utilized by businesses to transmit files between partners and customers. Progress stock declined by 4%.

The online extortion group Cl0p, which has claimed responsibility for the MOVEit breach, has stated in the past that it would not use any data stolen from government agencies.

The group wrote that government agencies, cities, and police services shouldn’t worry because they had already erased the data.

The US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency “is providing support to several federal agencies that have experienced intrusions,” an agency official told the American broadcaster. “We are working urgently to understand impacts and ensure timely remediation.”

A White Hat/Black hat “online extortion group” that breaks into government databases but only steals from the private sector? Hmmm, that sounds more like a government-rewarded hacking group to me. Or maybe a cyber group within the USG.

It also sounds like they broke into a LOT of different places. Now here is something you may not know. Companies pay hackers large bounties to discover vulnerabilities. And hackers can use that excuse to justify breaking into a system, if caught. So hackers are constantly trying and finding ways to break into computer systems.

Bug bounties have become so commonplace that third-party brokers like Bugcrowd and HackerOne exist to connect hackers with bounty money. As detailed in HackerOne's 2018 Hacker Report, the company has paid out over $23 million to the 166,000 hackers in its network alone, who have fixed over 72,000 vulnerabilities. That's a lot of good work—for a lot less money than a true hack can cost a company in money and reputation.

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency has been in hot water recently. It has been doing its best to erase its tracks after calling us domestic terrorists for simply using our First Amendment right to communicate and speak. The Foundation for Freedom Online, whose praises I have repeatedly sung, tells us more about the not so subtle erasures of what CISA has been up to. They are desperate to hang onto their new terminology of “Misinformation, disinformation and malinformation” but had to shut down their unit of the same name because it was illegally spying on and censoring Americans. So now they have decided to blame foreigners instead of domestic US persons—at leasst in public. This is almost certainly a result of the Missouri v Biden discovery (and the Twitter files’ deep dive) into only a fraction of what the USG agencies were doing to silence any dissent.

I'm brain dead after today's VRBPAC advisory meeting at FDA . The advisors were asked to okay a new variant for a fall COVID vaccine

 

So, is COVID-19 still a thing? It stopped being dangerous after Omicron arrived 18 months ago. It officially ended on May 11.

The NY Times says it has basically petered out, compared to the past 3 years, and its numbers are 6 weeks behind.

And the CDC and NY Times say it killed in total 1.1 million Americans. I thought we had reached that number in 2021. But maybe CDC is subtracting the ‘with’ not ‘from’ deaths it used to include as COVID deaths?

And I thought everyone had now acknowledged it never really was a problem for children, and almost never for young adults. And mostly it causes a cold now, or nothing. Asymptomatic cases. Identifiable only by a boost in antibody levels.

And of course, treated properly, it would have been over in 2020. But that’s another story.

However, the plan is to roll out yet another vaccine. A different one. Only 17% of Americans took a bivalent booster, which barely worked. When it was approved, even though the original Wuhan strain was long gone, it was postulated that due to immune imprinting on that virus, the extinct strain should be included along with a newer Omicron version.

Now they say that was not such a good guess. Time to go back to a monovalent (single spike-producing) vaccine.

Time to guess again about which one to choose. Good chance they will guess wrong again. So the advisory committee was called out to inherit some of the blame if the choice goes south, yet again.

But all the choices went south. All the COVID vaccines were dangerous. All-cause mortality remains elevated, somewhere between 8% and 20% above normal, it is said. Because when you damage the walls of blood vessels and the heart, you get pulmonary emboli, heart attacks, myocarditis, sudden death, strokes, and impaired blood flow to fingers, toes, limbs or organs. That is why you die from many causes. And if the turbo-cancer theory is correct (it is a convincing theory) cancer deaths would also be increased.

Back to today. FDA told its committee, “Pick a variant.” Kinda like spin the wheel of fortune. FDA also said we want to give a periodic vaccine, but the one we are here for today is for this fall. You know, to give out when people go in for their flu shots. If anybody still does that, after the COVID shot fiasco.

So Pfizer, Moderna and Novavax gave their dog and pony show. We injected mice or hamsters with the XBB1.5 variant mRNA or protein and their neutralizing antibodies went up. We vaccinated them again and they REALLY went up. So then we tried it on people and the same thing happened. Yay for us.

Our detectives on the committee said, “Whoa, Nellie.” You told us this story last year and we voted for your bivalent vaccine. We told you then to look at T and B cells. We told you then antibody (titer) tests were not an adequate surrogate for actual disease prevention. You said you were trying. Now it is 12 months later and you didn’t present a single study with those data.

FDA: It’s expensive to do those studies. Antibody studies are so quick and easy and we are in a hurry to get these out for fall. (Everyone then pretends FDA can’t tell the manufacturers what tests it requires them to perform. Or maybe they did do those tests, and the results were not to anyone’s liking?)

Detective: I thought you told us this mRNA method was gonna get out new vaccines at warp speed, but now you’re implying it takes as long as growing virus in chicken eggs.

FDA: Look over there, please. Someone change the subject. They are already making the XBB1.5 “at risk” so we are probably going to go along with it (sotto voce) and then we can roll it out with the flu shots in August, maybe even in the same syringe….

VRBPAC committee detectives: We are really miffed that you are jerking us around like this. We believe you that the vaccine prevents severe disease and deaths even though it does not prevent cases or transmission (dear God we must believe that) but where are the data?

FDA: Time for the vote.

VRBPAC committee members: 21 yes votes for a fall XBB variant COVID vaccine, a unanimous approval. Which I predicted.

What was missing today? There was no discussion of vaccine safety—only talk about brief immediate reactions like arm pain, headaches and fatigue. There was no discussion of the fact that COVID no longer poses a serious risk to anyone. In fact, one slide showed 100% of Americans have been infected and have antibodies.

The ‘efficacy’ discussions mostly relied on something they called hybrid immunity, which is immunity from having had COVID and having had a shot or 4 or 5. It is powerful, dontcha know?

The word myocarditis never crossed anyone’s lips—or if it did, I didn’t hear it. And the discussion of whether kids need the new shots was posed, but dodged. CDC decides who gets it, we just decide if it is approvable.

Well, not really. The pedi vaccines are a different dose, different label—the FDA decides on them, too. And FDA can certainly decide they are not needed. But clearly the pedi vaxxes are coming, your tax dollars will be paying for them, and expect a great deal of wastage of these new vaccines.

And did I just see a Potemkin village dog and pony show, or was there actual quality manufacturing and quality regulation going on?

Why are they doing this? Now that is the question.

FDA announces the formula of the fall COVID-19 shot today. XBB. 1.5 I told you yesterday's meeting was just window dressing, so FDA could spread the blame when the vaccine becomes a problem. Enjoy their weasel words.

 

Today, the FDA posted information on its website regarding the formula for COVID-19 vaccines for the 2023-2024 fall and winter seasons. The FDA has advised manufacturers seeking to update their COVID-19 vaccines that they should develop vaccines with a monovalent XBB.1.5 composition. This recommendation incorporates advisory committee input and is based on the totality of the available evidence to select the vaccine composition that the FDA anticipates will best protect public health. The agency anticipates the timely submission of the data and filings to support FDA action on updated COVID-19 vaccines, in order to make vaccines available this fall that meet our standards for safety, effectiveness and quality. 

There ARE no FDA standards for safety, effectiveness or quality for EUA vaccines, just so you know.

How the Nobel Prize Summit Sold Out on Real Science

Despite noble ambitions, the 2023 Nobel Prize Summit in Washington, D.C., looked more like a breeding ground for artificial intelligence-infused dogma and big corporate-backed pseudoscience.

The Nobel Prize Summit held May 24-26 in Washington, D.C., showcased how the war against the “viral infection” of misinformation and disinformation is to be fought by academic institutions, the mainstream media, social media companies and governments.

The summit’s title, “Truth, Trust and Hope” is a reflection of a view held by the organizers and their backers. They uphold that unless this war is won, public trust in science is done for.

You may not be surprised to learn that cancel culture and artificial intelligence (AI) are expected to play key roles in the battle strategy against “scientific misinformation.”

“The great thing is not having a mind,” writes Nobel Laureate Louise Glück, in her poem “The Red Poppy.”

And what a great thing indeed, for having a mind is perhaps one of the biggest obstacles in the way of authoritarianism and the hunger of a few for extreme power.

People’s minds can be either a tool to further an agenda, or a hindrance to achieving it. It depends on what perspective you choose to look at it. We’ll explore the idea of perspectives throughout the article.

Mouthing off, Beckett-style

The Nobel Prize Summit began by putting the assembled in-person and virtual audience into an almost trance-like state with a performance piece about mis- and disinformation by film producer Smriti Keshari.

Warning: don’t be put off by the performer’s disembodied mouth, the words which emanate from it are too insightful to be ignored — this is art, for corporate science protectionism’s sake!

Extracts of the monologue from Keshari’s performance piece at the Nobel Prize Summit:

“Were their eyes or ears or nose or memory, playing tricks on them? … Did they see something that wasn’t there? … What were they to believe? …

“Disinformation’s web, tangled threads of falsehood spread, truth obscured, misled.”

It turns out Keshari’s piece was inspired by Samuel Beckett’s 1971 monologue “Not I” which is delivered in a similar way: via an illuminated, seemingly disembodied mouth.

Keshari borrowed another idea from Beckett’s work in which the previously voiceless protagonist begins to doubt her ability to find her voice as well as her own memory, coming to the conclusion that “memories could be false.”

Nobel Prize Summit listeners were taken on an emotional journey, which included 130 years of Nobel prizeworthy discoveries as well as an “experience” of what some may consider misinformation and disinformation.

Reading between the lines

The objective of the performance piece was clearly to show how people can be misled into believing conspiracy theories.

The proposed mechanism for misleading people, which has a cogent scientific basis, involves juxtaposing fear through fear-mongering with the exploitation of our innate attraction to the unexpected.

Surprise and anticipation, like fear, are actually primary emotions and therefore are very powerful drivers of human behavior. With careful calibration of these various factors, people can be led to believe all sorts of things, some of which will turn out not to be true.

While the mechanism is widely recognized, we were concerned about the assumptions being made over who is deploying which type of misinformation or disinformation, consciously, subconsciously and unconsciously, and to what end.

To be more specific, and by way of example, the scientific establishment represented at the Nobel Prize Summit would likely argue that any view that purported that lockdowns, masks or vaccines did more harm than good during the COVID-19 pandemic period (2020-2022) should be categorized as scientific misinformation….

Only 25% thought the country was heading in the right direction.

With the latest announcement that the European Commission and the World Health Organization are partnering on a Digital Vaccine Passport the Technocratic State is coming into view.

On Monday the European Commission  and the World Health Organization announced a “digital health” partnership to establish a new Digital Vaccine Passport system for the world.

The announcement by the EU and the WHO notes that the new digital identity scheme is building on the work of the EU Digital COVID Certificate which was enacted in June 2021 during the COVID-19 panic and is set to expire on June 30. According to the EU, more than 2.3 billion certificates were issued.

Thierry Breton, EU Commissioner on Internal Market, said he was “pleased that the WHO will build on the privacy-preserving principles and cutting-edge technology of the EU certificate to create a global tool against future pandemics.”

Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus claimed the digital certificates will “help people everywhere receive quality health services quickly and more effectively”.

Ironically, the European Commission and WHO say the EU Vaccine Passport helped “facilitate safe free movement”. The reality is the passport program was one of several created by public-private partnerships between government and Non-Governmental Organizations and corporations which required individuals to show proof of vaccination to work, travel, or eat.

Now, the WHO wants to take the EU system and establish a global system that they claim will “help protect citizens across the world from on-going and future health threats, including pandemics”.

The press release also notes this latest partnership is part of an agreement signed in December 2022 by EU Commissioner Stella Kyriakides and WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus to “enhance strategic cooperation on global health issues”. The organizations say this new partnership “bolsters a robust multilateral system with WHO at its core”.

These statements amount to an acknowledgement that these type of programs begin at the transnational level with globalist organizations like the WHO and the EU before they trickle down to national governments, state and provinces, and, eventually, local councils.

Global Digital Vaccine Passports Coming Soon

The WHO’s statement announcing the partnership describes it as the “first building block” of the WHO Global Digital Health Certification Network (GDHCN) that will “develop a wide range of digital products to deliver better health for all”. The WHO says the COVID-19 “pandemic response” taught them there is an “existing gap and continued need” for a mechanism to support verification of health documents for so-called ” pandemic preparedness and continuity of care”.

The WHO also said the GDHCN can be an “infrastructural building block” for future additional use cases, including digitization of existing vaccine certificates, verification of prescriptions across borders, and verification of vaccine certificates within and across international borders.

The WHO also emphasized that the GDHCN “builds upon the experience of regional networks for COVID-19 Certificates” and uses the infrastructure of the EU Digital COVID Certificate system. This system has been adopted by all EU member states and 51 non-EU countries.

Still Believe Digital Vaccine Passports Are Something Made Up by Conspiracy Theorists?

In April 2021 — two months before the EU COVID Certificate was to be implemented — I reported on the evidence that the EU has been planning health passports since at least 2019. I wrote:

“While the World Economic Forum and the Gates Foundation coincidentally simulated a pandemic mere months before COVID-19 was the buzz of 2020, the European Union MEPs also seem to have a keen foresight and ability to predict the future. A document listed on the European Union’s website shows a 2019-2022 RoadMap on “Strengthening Cooperation Against Vaccine Preventable Diseases” which makes it clear that Europe’s highest legislative body had planned for years to develop some type of vaccine passport. The EU’s website details how the Road Map has been in development since December 2017.”

In the Road Map, under a section titled “Actions” it reads:

“Examine the feasibility of developing a common vaccination card/passport for EU citizens (that takes into account potentially different national vaccination schedules and), that is compatible with electronic immunisation information systems and recognised”

This document indicates that the EU was already working on plans to implement vaccination passports before most of the world had ever heard the term. As The Last American Vagabond has reported since July 2020, the push for vaccine passports is really a push for digital identity schemes which are part of the push for a “Great Reset” and the transformation of every industry on the planet.

The WEF and associates have been pushing the idea of immunity/vaccine passports since 2020 and the fact that these schemes are now reality is no coincidence. The fact that the European Commission, the executive branch of the EU, is partnered with the WEF is also no accident. In January 2021, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen spoke at the WEF’s annual Davos week that was specifically dedicated to the “Great Reset” vision.

“Vaccine Passports” Are a Gateway to Digital ID Hell

The push for vaccine passports or digital identities is not coming from the people. There is no genuine call for these policies rising up from the grassroots. It is coming from various organizations, such as the Better Identity Coalition, with ties to cybersecurity spooks with connections to the national security state, U.S. and Israeli intelligence, banks, and corporations.

These schemes are also being sold to the people of the world under the guise of building a more equitable, sustainable, and just world. The United Nations [and Tedros—Nass] is promoting the idea that digital identity is a human right in an effort to persuade the Global South and developing nations to participate. This is a scam.

In fact, in June 2022, New York University’s (NYU) School of Law issued a 100-page report detailing the growing dangers of a reliance on digital identity around the world. The report, titled Paving a Digital Road to Hell?, examines the role of the World Bank and other international networks which have been promoting the use of digital ID in recent years.

The report notes that the World Bank has been “energetically promoting biometric and other digital ID systems that are increasingly linked to large-scale human rights violations, especially in the Global South”. The researchers warn that digital identity schemes “promoted in the name of development and inclusion, might be achieving neither”. Despite ostensible good intentions on the part of some promoting these systems, they “may well be paving a digital road to hell.”

“Governments around the world have been investing heavily in digital identification systems, often with biometric components (digital ID). The rapid proliferation of such systems is driven by a new development consensus, packaged and promoted by key global actors like the World Bank, but also by governments, foundations, vendors and consulting firms.“

In 2014, the World Bank launched the Identification for Development (ID4D) program with the aim of solving the problem of a lack of identity for much of the so-called “developing world”. The World Bank is funding digital biometric ID programs in Mexico, pushing digital ID in poorer countries with the ostensible goal of providing legal identity to the 1.1 billion people who do not currently have one.

The fact that the EU and the WHO are announcing a new vision for COVID-19 digital vaccine certificates may yet be a sign that the “powers-that-wish-they-were” are not done playing the “pandemic” card. Consider the recent statement of U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra while speaking to journalists in Geneva, Switzerland at the recent 76th meeting of the WHO’s World Health Assembly.

“I think we’ll get an accord in place if everyone realizes that our window before this next pandemic, this next health threat, is probably not far away.”

Whatever awaits humanity in the remainder of 2023 and 2024, we must unite all the people of the world who value bodily autonomy and individual liberty. We cannot thrive in the face of what is potentially on the horizon — whether plandemic or climate change lockdowns — if we are neutered by our petty arguments and divisive online debates. If we want liberty, we must stand together now, like never before.

Fearing 'climate change,' Ireland moves to kill the cows. By John Klar in the American Thinker

Ireland has announced plans to cull hundreds of thousands of cows to comply with European Union climate policy.  Similar initiatives in Belgium and the Netherlands ensure that beef prices will rise, but these proposals offer little environmental benefit.  Indeed, cows are the heroes, not the villains, in rescuing the climate.

Ireland's push to eliminate 200,000 cows demonstrates the persistent folly of climate alarmism, while contrasting the shortcomings of renewable energy products.  The fundamental premise of the targeting of benevolent bovines is faulty: that cow burps cause damage to the environment.  Interestingly, the alternatives propounded — for humans to obtain protein instead from insects, or soy-based synthetic meat substitutes — will profit industries who are key partners in the globalist effort to eradicate cows.

The attacks on cows are premised on data for beef and dairy cows managed in Concentrated Animal Feed Operations (CAFOs), in which the animals are fed a diet rich in grains.  Manure is collected in lagoons or massive piles that must then be spread back onto the fields.  It is the fossil fuels and chemicals involved in producing grains and other feed, and moving them (and the resultant manure) mechanically, that creates the lion's share of cow pollution.

But cows raised on pasture, and rotated regularly, do not depend on GMO grains for their food, nor on diesel-powered equipment to discharge their fecal byproducts.  More, their manure then replaces synthetic fertilizers, including urea manufactured from natural gas.

That fake meat that Bill Gates wants Americans to eat in place of cows is made from soy and other plant inputs.  GMO soy and corn are produced using massive quantities of synthetic fertilizers, Round-Up and other herbicides, fossil fuels for tractors and harvesters, and more fuel to process and transport the food for human consumption.  Also, in many areas, these crops are irrigated with precious underground aquifer resources.  How is replacing grass-fed cows with fertilizer-fed and glyphosate-saturated soy an improvement to the environment?

Cows have been chewing cud to convert grass to steak for humans for thousands of years.  In Ireland, the government has for years paid farmers to increase their herds and production, and many of those dairies are grass-fed.  Ireland has built a niche market in that very field:

Until recently, the government had encouraged dairy farmers to expand to exploit the end of EU milk quotas. Farmers invested in new equipment and the dairy herd grew by almost half in the past decade. Irish butter, cheese and other produce — 90% is exported — filled supermarket shelves around the world.

In contrast, consider the production of solar panels in China, made from quartz heated with coal, spewing enormous amounts of pollution.  Those will be funded, while cows are slaughtered as polluters?  How much more toxic chemical pollution is released into the atmosphere when an electric car is manufactured than a cow ever belches?  And how much water is saved, and soil rebuilt, in the United States when new windmills are shipped out versus properly stewarded cows?

The push to eliminate cows is a scam.  One of the clearest proofs is that there is no attack on pigs or chickens.  Ireland produces 70 million chickens a year; why aren't they being culled?  Chickens and pigs cannot be raised on grass, but are almost wholly dependent on grain crops.  A genuine effort to curtail pollution from tilling and monoculture cropping would favor cows and sheep over pigs and chickens!  (Ireland has 1.6 million pigs.)  Instead, Ireland follows AOC and the WEF in the bullying of cattle.

Reducing dairy and beef production in Ireland will undermine its economy, as these make up about two thirds of the nation's agriculture output, with 90% being exported.  It will also drive up food prices and create environmental pressures in other nations that fill the production void.  This is called "carbon leakage": when production is moved to countries with an even higher carbon footprint.

Rewarding farmers for releasing confined animals back onto grass would sequester more carbon over time than E.V.s or solar panels, while improving soil health, reducing fertilizer use, and saving water (healthy soils retain more water).  Also, when cows die, they rot back into the earth as healthy compost, unlike the inevitable future of solar panels and EVs, foisted on consumers by government edict in the name of climate rescue.

Eliminating cows increases food domination and profits for global corporations.  It does not profit the environment much at all.

FDA is now warning about misinformation spreaders

The federal government continues to try and fool the public into thinking misinformation is a dire problem and a crime. Misinformation is whatever the government does not want you to know.

Here the FDA has a new one minute video about misinformation and rumor control. Clearly, the feds are getting nervous that their cons on the people are being recognized.

They also have created posters to explain the following in language even a 3d grader can understand:

• It evolves.

• But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t trust the science.

• Your “trusted sources” are government agencies.

So now I will give you some important truth from a trusted source, the British Medical Journal aka BMJ, which I discussed on Friday during my talk to the Better Way conference.

In 1992 the Prescription Drug User Fee Act (PDUFA) was passed by Congress, allowing FDA to charge manufacturers to regulate their products, and it has been all downhill from there, in terms of the respect FDA has had on the world stage. From being considered the world’s pre-eminent drugs regulator, as it was before 1992, it is now considered a shell of its former self: a rogue agency for hire.

65% of the funds used by FDA to evaluate whether a new chemical entity can be licensed as a safe and effective drug come from industry fees. (42% of the funds used by FDA to approve biologics, which include vaccines, come from industry.) In the UK, Europe, Australia and Japan even a higher percentage of the money used to approve drugs comes from industry.

Furthermore, in the USA, 4 pathways have been developed to ‘expedite’ the approval of new drugs and vaccines. Most drugs given the right to use these pathways (68% of all drugs seeking US approval manage to squeak through as providing some type of unmet need). The vast majority of these drug reviews are conducted as a 6 month review. At the end of 6 months, FDA must give the manufacturer a yes or no answer as to whether it will issue a license. Whether or not it has managed to review all the submission, or even half of the submission by the manufacturer, it must give the manufacturer a yes or no answer re licensure. Usually that answer is yes, as the pressure from above to do so is enormous. Of course, a higher percentage of drugs approved through an accelerated pathway are later taken off the market, compared to drugs approved the regular way.

The FDA has a scheme that allows it to license almost anything, and that scheme is simply creative writing of the label. The label is a legal document that explains what is known about the drug, its risks, its benefits, and how it should be used. FDA is very crafty as it works with the manufacturer to withhold information and provide skewed information on its labels. It can also include dire warnings on the label, which through broad disclosure absolve the manufacturer and the FDA from liability regarding dreaded adverse effects. FDA officials have been open about the fact that they can license anything as long as the label is written properly.

Manufacturers are well aware they can get virtually anything through the FDA—and have known so practically forever. In the book Hooked: Ethics, the medical profession and the pharmaceutical industry by Howard Brody, MD (2007), Harry Loynd, the president of pharma firm Parke Davis from 1951-1967 is quoted as saying, “If we put horse manure in a capsule, we could sell it to 95% of these doctors.”

So if you are looking to avoid misinformation, the FDA is the last place you might go to for truth, honesty, ethics and consideration of the public’s welfare.

In fact, knowledgeable professionals were so appalled by what they learned about the FDA (especially after PDUFA) a huge body of literature sprang up about the unethical process of drug regulation, some of which I provided at my talk to the Better Way Conference last Friday. So, if you want to avoid believing misinformation about drug, vaccine and device regulation, I suggest you take a look at these books, or the many other reports and reviews of the subject. Perhaps Congress needs to stop authorizing funds for the PR departments of our federal ‘public health’ agencies?
