How do I know? Because there are many examples. You don't get it again often, and the second time is generally milder. This has happened to several of my patients and to a physician friend.
You are more likely to transmit virus when you are at peak viral titers, which is after you develop symptoms. But there is still the possibility of transmission before that. As I have written before, a physician close to me caught it from another physician the day before the second physician became symptomatic, very early in the pandemic.
The more the virus mutates naturally, the more likely it is to escape immunity from a prior infection. But most people will retain partial immunity, making the second case less severe, if it does occur.
If the virus is mutated in a lab, all bets are off. When are the people of the world going to get serious about ending gain-of-function (aka biowarfare) research?
Gain-of-function, gain-of-fatality...
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think of the theory that Omicron was mutated in a lab by "the good guys" to give everyone a mild case, thus acting as a vaccine, and putting an end to all of this?
ReplyDeleteIt would be lovely if Omicron is indeed so mild as to act as a vaccine. But that does not solve the main problem--that the main actors behind the "pandemic" will continue to look for any excuse to ramp up the fear and keep the scam going.
ReplyDeleteThe problem here is not medical; it is political. An elite class wants to impose a tyrannical level of social control on the rest of us, and will use any means, tell any lie, to that end. We need to activate a movement to stop them. Fortunately, many people appear to be waking up to this brutal reality--the scamdemic is becoming so logically absurd that denial is becoming impossible, for anyone with a functioning brain.
You forgot to mention that the vaccinated are just as likely (well, actually 9% more likely) than the unvaccinated to transmit the virus, per the study published in The Lancet in November 2021. ( https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lanepe/article/PIIS2666-7762(21)00258-1/fulltext)
ReplyDelete25% for vaccinated, 23% for unvaccinated... 25/23 = 1.09, or 9% greater chance for the vaccinated to transmit the virus to other people.

“When are the people of the world going to get serious about ending gain-of-function (aka biowarfare) research?”
ReplyDeleteI’m not posting this with the intention of you all throwing your arms up in disrepair but to assist readers here prioritise, from a position of greater awareness. As a Martian might report back: For the primate which calls itself homo sapien (Latin: “wise man”) is indeed an interesting creature. Possessing a very large neocortex they can form the most complex of societies. However, as a specie they both benefit and suffer from the hierarchical structures they create, which allows the cream of of their most talented citizens to rise to the top only for this cream to then sour. With every privilege the cream gains the more isolated from everyday reality they become. Until they become an image of their own reality blinkered (and so distorted) ideology, which comes to posses them so entirely, that they value this mental construct more than life itself.
Dug up this for you as an illustration, which is from 2005-08-01. A whole decade and a half ago! As it is from the Epoch Times I didn’t take it all at face value as it was difficult to separate out one sides propaganda campaign from another. Either way — humanity has a problem.
A couple of excerpts from these Chines political speeches in the article:
“3) It is indeed cruel to ask the United States to kill one or two hundred million people, but only this way can be exchanged for the century of the Chinese and the century of the Chinese Communist Party leading the world…..”
“Since the party’s life is “above everything”, it will continue to live for the CCP, and it will not hesitate to use biochemical and nuclear weapons in a desperate battle, it is not surprising!Regarding human life as weeds, even if 200 million Americans are killed and 700 to 800 million Chinese are lost, it will not be a problem!”

ReplyDeleteIf this doesn't make you REJECT EVER GETTING THE JAB...You must be a person with a Death Wish.

Is a there a study that shows how many people have had a second confirmed case? Or maybe the second time one gets it, it's so mild they don't even notice.
ReplyDeleteI don't know a single person who got it once that ever got it again (at least were not diagnosed with a second case), which is why I believe that actually having had Covid sets up a good immunity and should be taken into consideration.
If everyone can just get it multiple times, then it would appear it doesn't matter what you do.
I think it would be far more accurate to speak of presymptomatic transmission, rather than asymptomatic transmission. The existence of asymptomatic transmission has been debunked by many, including this study: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-020-19802-w or this study: https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamanetworkopen/fullarticle/2774102
ReplyDeleteIMHO, the problem with the presymptomatic argument, while technically correct, is that you cannot tell who is presymptomatic and who is asymptomatic when neither has symptoms--so you are splitting hairs to distinguish between them in terms of clinical importance.
ReplyDeleteFurthermore, I would argue that if you are asymptomatic (and CDC continues to allege, since the beginning, that 15% of cases are asymptomatic) surely there are behaviors that could still spread the disease in asymptomatics, like intense kissing during periods of highest viral load.
And one more comment: since the tests are unreliable, CDC's numbers are unreliable, PCR is a very rough surrogate for viral load, and many if not most cases do not come to medical attention, one really has no reliable quantitation about any of this.
