Walensky, CDC Director, treats MD Senator with contempt for asking simple questions, like where is the proof that immunity in the recovered is not broad strong and long-lasting?

Physician Senator Cassidy asked Rochelle Walensky a few questions the other day.  It was remarkable what she did not know or would not answer.

1.  How many CDC employees are vaccinated?  A:  We are educating them.

2.  How many CDC employees are working from home?  He thought 75%?  A:  I don't have that information.

3.  Do you see empty desks as you walk down the halls?  A:  She changed the subject.  Note:  she is working from her home in Massachusetts.

4.  Teachers are back in school teaching.  CDC employees, with the best PPE and vaccinations should be back working.  Don't they trust these protections?  A:  Subject change.

5.  Why haven't you done a prospective study to look into the value of immunity in the recovered?  (He asked this at least 3 times.). She tap danced as fast as she could away from an answer.

    Questions are all well and good, but we need action in the wake of the non-answers which actually answer the bigger question, i.e. is the CDC corrupt.

    Walensky has lost her mind.

    She lied in that January op ed in NYT, when she said she was going to tell the truth.

    Gov. Baker lost his mind, saying no mandates and now look at the mess he's made in Mass.

    Folks rightly or wrongly slammed Trump for whatever, and now what we have is worse because there is no effort to hold anyone accountable.

    Can any of them even spell public health anymore?

    The doctors' convention yesterday in Florida was very good.
