One last thought on these folks taking ivermectin prophylactically *post-infection*: If they've already had COVID, why do they think it's necessary to take ivermectin now? That makes no sense to me. They should have developed an immune response post-infection that is protective against further exposure to SARS-CoV-2, unless they are immunocompromised for some reason. That's how our immune systems work.

When did we as a society lose such trust in our body's self-management systems?

This pandemic shows us just how far we've drifted into a "somebody save me" mindset rather than trusting our beautiful bodies to do what they're designed to do.Dr Chris Kinghttp://animavet.com.aunoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6592607595936297457.post-56472047695656888092021-04-07T21:12:57.980-04:002021-04-07T21:12:57.980-04:00Dr. Chris, thanks so much. These pastes (there are many competing for market share) are probably safe in humans; they are well tolerated in horses. However, I am not as confident in saying that these formulations are probably safe for human use as I am with the ivermectin sheep drench.

Each company has its own trade secrets, and while they have to tell the government regulators (FDA-CVM) exactly what is in their pharmaceutical products for animals, they don't have to tell anyone else - not vets and not the animals' owners. At least I know what is in the ivermectin sheep drench, because I was able to find the safety data sheet which requires all ingredients to be listed. That particular product used no proprietary ingredients, so all of its ingredients were listed by chemical name (or the name in common use).

In contrast, here is the list of ingredients on the safety data sheet for one popular brand of ivermectin paste for horses in the US: ivermectin, pigment, thickening agents, vehicle/solvent. Specifically,

Ivermectin - CAS no. 70288-86-7 - Content 1.96% - Classification T toxic
Pigment - CAS no. confidential - Content < 5.0% - Classification not classified
Thickening agents - CAS no. confidential - Content 15% - Classification not classified
Vehicle/solvent - CAS no. confidential - Content bal - Classification not classified

I'm glad your friends are OK. I would not put that stuff in my mouth without knowing more about what's in it.

Everyone, please be careful when using animal drugs in humans. There is much overlap amongst mammals, but there are also some critical species differences. That's what we spend so long studying before we get our veterinary medical qualifications - and that's just the bare bones!

And please bear in mind that this virus is not as lethal as we've been told. Even a cursory glance at the epidemiological data shows that the majority of people are only mildly or moderately affected - if at all. Uncomplicated recovery is the norm, as it is with most other respiratory viruses.Dr Chris Kinghttp://animavet.com.aunoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6592607595936297457.post-63018874820160779802021-04-06T21:03:48.198-04:002021-04-06T21:03:48.198-04:00Time for an injunction against any entity that get...Time for an injunction against any entity that gets in the way of a licensed physician treating their patients for Covid. Then a class action lawsuit against the medical alphabets (CDC, FDA, NIH, etc) that are not doing due diligence in acknowledging the mountains of evidence in favor of low-cost, early home care. It is very clear that patients have died due to the FDA’s stance on Ivermectin, perhaps in the hundreds of thousands. And it is equally clear the FDA has callously disregarded evidence from around the world PROVING the efficacy of Ivermectin, and others, in reducing death.

One can only presume FDA has put Pharma profits, and the Gates/Fauci agenda, in front of the health and welfare of the American people. Another massive failure of their charter, much like their failure to police the chemically laced American food supply. Americans are unknowingly consuming chemicals that have been banned all across the world. The health of the American people is the last thing this FDA seems to care about. I suspect there are clear grounds to officially charge FDA officials with at least involuntary manslaughter, due to their wanton disregard for human life.

It seems many Doctors read your blog, and I’d like to suggest that Doctors everywhere REFUSE to vaccinate another patient under the Prizer and Moderna EUA, while people are dying due to the FDA’s refusal to issue an “off-label” EUA for Ivermectin and the Hydroxychloroquine protocol in the treatment of COVID19. The use of antibiotics, antimalarial, or antiparasitic drugs can dramatically lower deaths both now and against any future viruses. It is dosed by weight as well at 200 mcg/kg. Since this family got Covid in November, they decided to take it prophylactically after they got well and have been since taking it since December, she said with no issues whatsoever. Let me know what is in the horse paste as I also see many comments online from people using it, every single week, they claim with no ill effect. We need to warn them properly. No one has ever been able to say what else is in the horse paste except inert types of ingredients you mention. Equine veterinarian here. If you...Hello, Anonymous. Equine veterinarian here. If you can only buy ivermectin at a feed store, get the liquid formulation for oral use in sheep, not one of the paste formulations for horses or the injectable formulation for cattle. (Note: liquid formulations for oral use in livestock are often called a 'drench'.)

Other than ivermectin, the ingredient list for a widely available ivermectin sheep drench includes water (65-72%), propylene glycol (18-21%), polysorbate (6-10%), benzyl alcohol (1-3.5%), and monobasic sodium phosphate (1-3%).

In the absence of any human safety data, that would probably be your safest option, unless you are sensitive to any of those carrier agents. Make sure you get plain ivermectin, not one of the combo anthelminthics that contains one, two, or three other drug classes, or one of the anthelminthic products that includes trace minerals.

The label dosage for sheep is the same as that used in many of the human clinical trials: 200 micrograms per kilogram bodyweight. If using this dosage in humans, follow the label recommendations on volume for your weight. The US products will be in mls of drench per bodyweight in pounds (lb); round up to the nearest weight classification.

And do not tell the feed merchant why you're buying it. I have a friend who manages a feed store, and she told me last week she's had several people come in, asking for ivermectin for themselves. She's been very troubled by this trend. It's for your sheep, got it?Dr Chris Kinghttp://animavet.com.aunoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6592607595936297457.post-83120738467626569732021-04-06T14:36:20.309-04:002021-04-06T14:36:20.309-04:00Anonymous, though I can’t recommend horse paste, 1...Anonymous, though I can’t recommend horse paste, 1.87% ivermectin and no other drugs added to this, I do know a family in Texas who used it when all six came down with Covid in November. Their doc had refused them a script for human ivermectin. Their fevers were gone in two days. They were completely well within one to two weeks. No one dropped their saturations, got pneumonia or had to make a trip to the hospital. Some of their members were old folks in their 80s. No one got long Covid either. Other than a strange craving for oats, hay, and sugar cubes, no one noted any ill effects. Lol. Be that as it may, one can go to the FLCCC website and find a list of docs willing to prescribe it via telemedicine. Or, without a prescription, some folks buy from India at the numerous online overseas pharmacies selling it.
